A motorcycle is a machine. How well it’s maintained may impact your life! It’s important that you take the time to properly maintain your bike and to make sure that you undertake timely service and repairs.
Fink’s stocks all of the maintenance items you might need to help keep your ride in tip-top shape. From air filters, belts, brake pads, chain lube, oil, tires, and valve stems (plus everything in between); we have it here ready for you.
Because we want you to keep coming back and buying stuff, we encourage you to take 3-5 minutes for a pre-ride inspection. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation recommends the following:
- Tires and Wheels – Rims free of dings? Spokes tight? Tire pressures spot on? Tread depth good?
- Controls and Cables – Make sure anything connected to a cable works! Don’t forget to check the brakes too!
- Lights - High beam and low beam work? Brake light come on when activated? Turn signals work? How about that horn?
- Oil and Fuel – Unless you are striving for a metal sculpture, don’t run out of oil! Check all fluid levels! Oh, and don’t run out of gas either!
- Chassis - How is that suspension?
- Sidestand and Centerstand – Unless you’re in the habit of throwing your toys on the ground and walking away, make sure your stands aren’t cracked or bent and that the springs are tight.
